Thai Boran first opened its doors to Derby in January 2004. A vision by its then owners was to reproduce an authentic experience of dining in a traditional Thai Restaurant, typical of the many one would find in Thailand.

From the wooden staircase leading up to the restaurant to the rough plastered walls and ceilings decorated by many outstanding Thai artefacts, one is greeted with a true feeling and atmosphere of being in Thailand.

Of course, a major part of the authenticity at Thai Boran is the food itself – created, prepared and cooked by some of the finest Thai chefs in the UK. Bringing their skills and experience from Thailand, they delight the many customers who continue to return to Thai Born even after 6 years. Ingredients and carefully chosen as well as being imported from Thailand itself in order to give that true taste of SE Asia.

Thai Boran is now the favourite restaurant for many people in Derby, be it for a quick snack at lunch time or a business lunch to a full a la carte dining experience in the evening. Customers who can’t always find the time to spend at the restaurant can chose from most of the dinner menu to order as a take away.

All the staff at Thai Boran is dedicated to giving you, the customer, a unique experience that will keep you coming back for more. We are also keen to further develop the restaurant and look forward to a further 6 years and more of bringing the delight of Thailand to Derby.
